Day long Fog brings Flight Cancellations at YPR, Airport provides update on Air Canada plans for those affected

The lingering fog through the day has made for travel cancellations for the day out of the Prince Rupert Airport on Digby Island.  

With  today's flight schedule of the Vancouver-Prince Rupert flight of 13:15 diverted back to Vancouver, which resulted in the cancellation of the flight from Prince Rupert at 15:45.

YPR officials followed up on today's flight issues with an update this evening through their Social Medias stream.

 

Providing information on Air Canada's plans to transport those passengers impacted by today's weather on Sunday and what travellers need to know about their flight..

The update also provides some background on how Nav Canada's weather information system works, as well as to note that the weather impacted on those travelling through Terrace today. 

From their records, the Terrace airport did record one flight delay today on their scheduled due to the weather 

The Fog Advisory that impacted the North Coast today continues to be in place, with Environment Canada observing it is expected to life gradually late Sunday morning.
