MLA's week February 23-26, 2015

Highway 16 issues were on the mind of North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice this week, as she made a number of references and asked questions of the Transportation Minister related to her ongoing push for a shuttle bus service in the region.

Ms Rice, raised those Highway 16 issues over two days of the Legislature week, making use of Question Period to attempt to get more information from the government minister.

From the seven sessions of the Legislature in the House, or Committee work listed for the week of February 23-26 , MLA Rice appeared as part of the index of the proceedings three times this week.

On Tuesday, the MLA raised issues related consultations that the Ministry of Highways held along the Highway 16 corridor last summer, seeking out some background information on those discussions.

On Wednesday she returned to that theme, seeking further comment from the Transportation Minister, particularly on the issue of a shuttle bus service for the Highway 16 corridor.

Thursday,  Ms. Rice paid tribute to the province's nurse practitioners and highlighted some of the challenges in recruitment for area health authorities.
