4.8 magnitude temblor off of Port Hardy this afternoon

Add another rumble from the earth to the listings off of Port Hardy for the year, as the seismically active fault line running north south off the coast of Vancouver Island stirred to life again this afternoon.

A 4.8 magnitude temblor recorded at 1:42 Pacific time, located 206 km South, Southwest of Port Hardy, listed at 19.6 kilometres deep.

No Tsunami warning was generated by today's event.

It's the second of the mid range quakes to be recorded this month, joining the list of similar sized shifts below the ocean over the last few months.
