Graphic of phase two plans from Port of Prince Rupert
Yesterday's announcement from the Port or Prince Rupert of a 200 million dollar Phase Two expansion plan for Fairview Terminals wasn't a secret for the North Coast to hold onto for long.
As we outlined on the blog following Tuesday morning's announcement, Don Krusel delivered some welcome news for North Coast residents, providing some background on the expansion plans from Maher Terminals for the Fairview Container Terminal Facility on the Prince Rupert waterfront.
A major investment for the region and the Pacific Gateway strategy, an investment plan that was quickly picked up by a number of news services across the nation and into the US.
Of particular note was a fairly extensive piece on the planned expansion and the impact on trade from it as outlined in the Journal of Commerce.
