No Carbon Reduction money for School District 52 for 2015

The Ministry of Education released its list of successful applicants for grant money related to Carbon reduction and if School District 52 made submission for the proposal call for this year, it apparently did not make the grade for 2015.

Last November the Ministry of Education asked for proposals for projects that would reduce greenhouse gas emissions and provide for operational coast savings.

The successful applicants would share in 5 million dollars in funding for energy projects such as lighting upgrades, boiler replacements and other energy saving initiatives.

Of the successful applications, only one for the Northwest corner of the province was awarded Haida Gwaii School District 50 awarded $84,000 for solar Photovoltaics panels.
