Already one of the most diverse locations in the Northwest when it comes to gastronomic delights, Prince Rupert's evolving food scene is going to add even more international flavour in the months to come.

Community Futures of the Pacific NorthWest is setting the table for a fall debut for a sample of Thailand, with a feature story this month as Theamsak Pimwong and Wichuta Nuanta put the final touches on their business plan to create Aroy-D, with plans for an October launch in the Rupert Square Mall.

Aroy-D which means "delicious" will feature authentic Thai cuisine from their birthplace of Thailand, among some of the creations that are planned for their debut Pad Thai Noodles and a number of combo plates to allow customers to sample a variety of hot dishes to bring a taste of Thailand to the North Coast.

Community Futures is providing the financial assistance to get the project off the ground by way of a start up loan.

You can learn more about their plans from the Community Futures blog here, it already has received a few comments that herald the new food option as a welcome addition to the city's already established reputation as the Northwest's home for great dining.
