The City of Prince Rupert puts out the Welcome MAT on a deal you may FLIP over!

The City is looking to sell
55 Judo mats with the bidding
closing on May 13th
For those looking for a little padding around the home or office, the City of Prince Rupert may have just what your looking for, putting out for bid a chance to purchase what are described as 55 never been used Tatami Judo Mats.

And while the mats most likely will be of interest to clubs, organizations or schools that may have the original use in mind, with a bit of imagination having a stack of 3 cm thick mats around could find many uses.

The Sale of surplus Civic Property was listed on the BC Bid site in late April and the City will be accepting bids on the bulk collection of 55 which must be sold as a whole until May 13th.

The mats were purchased in 2012 from Hatashita and measure 1m x 2m x 3cm and come with a cover for when in storage. The City notes in its information notice that the highest, or any bid may not necessarily be accepted and that the City reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.

You can find out more information about the Judo Mats from Willa Thorpe the Director of Recreation for the city, you can contact her at 250-624-6707.
