With a busy summer season of public works projects on the horizon, the City of Prince Rupert is looking to add to the fleet of vehicles out of the city yard, with the latest Request for Bids from the city seeking a new Bobcat, the industrial machine that digs your ditches and excavates sites around the city.

The RFP is found on the BC Bid website and seeks quotes for tender on a compact excavator, the deadline for submission of bids is April 25th and the timeline  for delivery is within sixteen weeks from the successful bid being chosen.

The opening of the bids is set for April 29th

The Bid process and details on what the city is looking for can be found from the BC Bid website, the Bobcat RFP is one of four currently listed by BC Bid.

The quest for a Bobcat is just one of a number of vehicles and machines that the city has made note of over the last year that are in line for purchase as upgrades or replacements for existing items.
