City's Ball Fields to remain closed until May 1st

The Sound of Play Ball will be on hold until May 1st, that as the City advises local field users that the Doug Kerr Field and other City Ball fields will remain off limits to allow for Operations Crews to make the sports fields ready for play for the season ahead.

The fields are used by Prince Rupert Minor Softball and the Kaien Island Slow Pitch leagues through the Spring and Summer months.

The City is also noting that they have applied Fertilizer to Roosevelt and Patullo Fields and ask that the public remain off those fields as well to help produce a higher quality playing surface for the season ahead.

The surfaces are used by Prince Rupert Youth Soccer and the Prince Rupert Seamen Rugby Club

The notice was posted to the City's Website on Monday
