Community meeting set for Information session on plans for old Neptune Inn site

Residents of Prince Rupert will get a look at the latest plans for development
of the Old Neptune Inn this month, with a community information
session set for April 10th

James and Corrine Warburton have some plans for the old Neptune Inn on Chamberlin Street and on Wednesday April 10th they would like to share their enthusiasm for a project they hope to bring to the community.

Towards more background on their project, they will be hosting a Community meeting at the Lester Centre on the 10th, which will offer up additional notes towards their quest for amendments to the zoning bylaws for the property in the light industrial Yellowhead Centre area of the city.

The proposed rezoning, would return the property to its original designation as that of as one to serve travel accommodation with a restaurant.

The format for the Information Session will feature an Open House from 5 to 5:30, followed by a Question and Answer period from 5:30 to 6.

A final Open House opportunity will be made available from 6 to 6:30 for those who may wish to get one more look at their plans.

The Lester Centre is the venue for a public Information Session
and Open House April 10th  to learn more on plans for development of the
Old Neptune Inn location
As we noted on the blog earlier this year, City Council began its process of reversing its zoning, which had been changed in order to accommodate a proposed Seniors housing complex from Macro Properties.

The Prince Rupert property company has since abandoned their plans for that housing concept and put the property up for sale.

On March 25th, City Council gave their first reading towards the reversal, instructing the applicants to set up their Information meeting to gain the feedback from the community.

Some of our recent notes on the proposed change once again for the site can be explored below:
