Third Avenue West to host Pop Up Active Living Fair Saturday

Organizers are putting the finishing touches today towards the latest of Pop Up event for Prince Rupert as Redesign Rupert, ecotrust Canada and the City of Prince Rupert join forces to put on what they are calling an Active Living Fair.

The Five Hundred Block of Third West, which features the Capitol Mall Building will be the host venue for the three hours of fun tomorrow,  set to start at Noon and carry through until 3 PM.

As a result of the Pup Up event Third west will be closed to motorists between Fulton Street and Fifth Street during much of the late morning and through the afternoon.

Included as part of the days plan will be members of Good Time Games who will be on hand with their always fun brand of archery and sword fighting.

Also expected on the afternoon will be a Bouncy Castle, some martial arts displays, spin cycling activities.

Prince Rupert Search and Rescue will be providing some safety tips for those who travel the back country areas of the city and the Kaien Coastal Riders will also be on hand to explain more about their activities in the community.

will be closed to traffic Saturday afternoon for the latest Pop Up event 


The Pop UP concept started a few years ago, with instant street festivals that have taken place mostly around the downtown core of the city.
