New signage marks the travels for BC Transit in Prince Rupert

BC Transit now features new signage
for their Prince Rupert/port Edward service
It's been a busy week of sign installation for a crew of City of Prince Rupert workers as they travel around the city installing new BC Transit signs at bus stops from east to west.

The new visual guide lists the routes that are serviced by each individual stop and makes for a helpful guide for passengers looking to reach their destinations.

The roll out of the new signs came just prior to the 61st annual All Native Tournament, which brought a large number of out of town visitors to Prince Rupert for the week long event at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

In other notes on transit in the province, BC Transit has also released the details to their New Strategic Plan, the document one which features a new vision statement of “Your best transportation solution”   and a mission statement of “Delivering transportation services you can rely on”

Towards those goals the New Strategic Plan features five objectives that will make for their roadmap for service to British Columbia communities.

Always safe
Engaged people
Satisfied customers
Thriving communities
Responsible stewardship
