He's already been getting a little practice this week at the All Native Basketball Tournament, but tomorrow Rudy Kelly will run the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome as Muskeg Press hosts the official launch of his new novel "All Native".
As we outlined last month, Mr, Kelly has taken his past experience as a sports writer with the old Daily News and combined with his own experiences of the annual tournament in Prince Rupert to produce a novel that follows the narrative of the tournament.
In recent days the author has been at the tournament at the Civic Centre talking with tournament attendees and answering questions about his book, tomorrow Kelly will be at Javadotcup on Third West (across from the Capital Mall) for the official launch of the book
You can review a snippet of his work here.
The author also provides some insight into the project with this interview with Muskeg Press's Chris Armstrong.
The launch party for the book takes place at 2PM tomorrow at the popular Prince Rupert coffee shop.
The book launch will build on the excitement of the final day of the 61st Annual All Native Basketball Tournament, which will feature all of the Tournament finales in the Russell Gamble Gymnasium Saturday afternoon and evening.
