RCMP dodge the ball (sporadically) while building relationships in the schools

Game and match for the kids in a recent dodgeball showdown with
members of the Prince Rupert RCMP

Members of the Prince Rupert detachment of the RCMP were taking their lumps on the dodgeball court this month, as the city's police force took on a local elementary school gym class in a spirited contest of the ever popular school sport.

The thumping on the scoreboard at the hands of the grade four and fives was part of a community outreach program from the local detachment to help build relationships with local youth in the city.

The local Mounties have looked towards a bit of expanded dodgeball training ahead as they look forward to a rematch in the months to come.

You can explore the background to the school visit from the Prince Rupert RCMP's website page.
