Rainmakers set to wrap up Regular season with visit from DP Todd

It's a festival of basketball this weekend for Hoops Fans with both the wrap up of the All Native Basketball Tournament set for the Saturday finales and a pair of games for the Charles Hays Secondary Rainmakers on tap for Saturday and Sunday.

For the Charles Hays squad, the weekend brings DP Todd from Prince George to town, the Trojans currently on a tour of the Northwest with a match up set in Terrace with Caledonia tonight before they carry on to the coast.

The Rainmakers and Trojans take to the Court Saturday at 3 PM and again on Sunday at Noon, Admission at the door at the Charles Hays Gym is 5 dollars for Adults and 2 dollars for students.

The visit from the Prince George visitors will make for a final tune up for both, with Zones fast approaching the Rainmakers will be looking to keep their game at top performance.

In this weeks rankings, the Trojans are listed at number six in the Provincial AA rankings, while the Rainmakers continue to claim top spot in Double A ball, a position that they have held since the start of the 2019-20 season.

Looking a little further down the calendar, the two day Northwest Zones tournament is set for February 21 and 22 at the CHSS Gymnasium.

On the Junior side, Kevin Sawka's Boys are currently hitting the court in practice sessions, that following their success at the Northwest Zones last weekend.

While the players are put through their paces and work out some of things flagged for extra attention, the coach is busy finalizing the plans for the trip to Langley.

The Provincial Zones Invitational is set for February 22 to 25 at the Langley Events Centre.
