Prince Rupert RCMP seek public's assistance in assault and Robbery case file

A late Tuesday night incident in the 9th Avenue West area has Prince Rupert RCMP asking for the help of the public as they seek to locate a suspect in an assault and robbery.

In an information release today, Prince Rupert Mounties outlined the rather wide scope of the call for service at 10:21 PM of Tuesday night the 25th. 

That with members responding to a report of an attack and robbery of a 47 year old woman in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue West.

The robbery and assault itself was said to have taken place in the 9th Avenue West region.

The victim was subsequently transported to Prince Rupert Regional Hospital to be treated for minor injuries suffered during the attack.

The suspect fled the scene and was last observed heading to the vicinity of 8th Avenue West from the Dunsmuir Street access.



The suspect is described as:

An Indigenous male 
6' Tall
Fair skin
All black clothing

The members of  the Prince Rupert detachment are asking that if you were in the area, or heard or saw anything suspicious during that period of time to contact them at 250-624-2136  or through Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
