And the walls came tumbling down ...

Rubble is all that remains along Fourth Street in downtown
Prince Rupert as a pair of excavators brought down the old structure

There's a significant change to the look of downtown Prince Rupert this morning, that after some preliminary work on a property at the corner of Fourth Street and 2nd Avenue West has taken down a long time fixture on the corner.

Work began on Monday for the property that once housed Teddy's Records and a number of other ventures over the decades, the building having been recently purchased and the tenants vacating as the new ownership had other plans, seemingly ones that won't make use of the existing building.

The corner of Fourth and 2nd West  once had many popular
tenants in place over the years

While the old building is no more, to this point, there has been no indication offered as to what will be taking up residency once the rubble has been cleared.

More notes on the city's Business sector can be reviewed here.
