One more passing noted for Acropolis Manor today, brings total of outbreak to ten. That as COVID-19 cases increase at long term care facility

Northern Health has shared word of another sad day for the city's long term care facility Acropolis Manor, with one more resident having passed away as part of the COVID-19 outbreak at the Manor, bringing the total number of residents who have passed to ten.

The Health Authority also updated the number of those at the Manor who have tested positive for the coronavirus, with 29 residents and 18 staff currently listed as having tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the Acropolis Manor website, the facility has 56 permanent beds and five short stay or palliative beds, which would seem to indicate that close to half the residents at the Manor have come to suffer from the virus.

Northern Health anticipates providing for another update on Friday or before should the situation warrant it.
