Prince Rupert RCMP still on the hunt for armed robbery suspect from mid January

The members of the Prince Rupert detachment of the RCMP continue their search for a suspect from a mid January robbery at a mid-town convenience store located near two of the city's elementary schools.

January 17th Mounties responded to a robbery report at Pa's Food Market at Fulton and Sixth West where a man is reported to have robbed a clerk at knifepoint then departing from the store, taking with him a range of materials including cash, scratch lottery tickets and cigarettes.

Despite a search of the immediate area, which included the use of a police service dog  brought in rom Terrace, the suspect eluded police and remains at large.

He is described as male 40 to 45 years of age, slender in build at the time of the robbery he was wearing a black hat, sweater, pants and a mask.

The market is directly across from Annunciation School and just down Sixth Avenue West from École Roosevelt Park Elementary School.

Should you have any information on the incident you can share the details with the Prince Rupert RCMP at 250-627-0700

The last armed robbery noted for media from the Fulton store came in January of 2019, when two males again using a weapon of some sort robbed the store in the early evening.
