Mounties seek public's help on Sunday night armed robbery file

The Prince Rupert RCMP  detachment is looking for the help of the public as they work an armed robbery file from Sunday evening which saw members dispatched to a convenience store at the corner of Fulton Street and Sixth Avenue West.

Mounties received the call at 6:47 PM Sunday immediately attending to the scene at Pa's Market, upon review of surveillance video, it was determined that the two suspects were male, having covered their faces with clothing.

A weapon, the nature of which was not disclosed by the RCMP was allegedly produced during the incident with both males then taking flight from the store with property and an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were no reports of injuries related to the incident, RCMP members believe that there were customers in the store at the time and hope that they will contact the detachment to assist in the investigation.
