Junior Boys Rainmakers tip off in North Shore Invitational

The last time that head coach Kevin Sawka led his team to the south for some basketball the plans were derailed by Mother Nature's snowy wrath, as the quest for Provincial title at last years championships came to an end at the Terrace airport.

It's a new season and for the junior boy's the travel has been a little easier this January, with the Junior Rainmakers on the North Shore of the lower mainland for games in the North Shore Invitational which started yesterday and continues until the 20th.

The games which take place at the Carson Graham and Handsworth gyms will provide for a good measuring stick for the coach as the Junior boys head into the final few weeks of the basketball season with Zones and a possible berth once agin in the Provincials on the line,

The Senior boys have a shorter distance of travel for the weekend, they will be in Terrace on Friday and Saturday for games at Caledonia.

The Senior boys head off to Terrace after two convincing victories last weekend over the Prince George Polars, with the Makers taking both contests by scores of 92-72 and 83-52
