BC Ferries cancels Monday's Northern Expedition sailing owing to advancing weather on North Coast

No Sailing today, advancing poor weather has give BC Ferries
cause to cancel today's sailing  of the Northern Expedition to Haida Gwaii

Update 7 PM: BC Ferries has updated their sailing plan , details can be found below:

With strong winds and heavy seas in the forecast for the day, BC Ferries has once again suspended sailings of the Northern Expedition posting a Service Notice   to their website this morning cancelling the 1:30 PM departure for the sailing to Haida Gwaii.

The Ferry corporation revised its schedule mid Monday morning. Cancelling today's sailing with the next scheduled service for Haida Gwaii now listed as Tuesday, January 22 at 10 AM

Today's sailing was to provide for some relief from last week's cancellation, with two runs across Hecate Strait originally planned for today and tomorrow.

As we noted on the blog last week, January has already wreaked a little havoc on the BC Ferry schedule with Haida Gwaii bearing the brunt of the cancelled sailings.
