Rainmakers and Polars set for two in the Rainforest this weekend
Tonight marks another basketball weekend in Prince Rupert, with both the Charles Hays Junior and Senior Boys teams in action against squads from Prince George Secondary School.
The two game series for both teams gets underway this evening at the Charles Hays Gymnasium as the Junior and Senior boys take on the challenge from the Polars.
Round two of the visit by the Prince George team will take place on Saturday.
For the Senior squad the Prince George marks a return to the basketball court from last week's success against visiting Kitsilano.
The Junior boys however may be the team most chomping at the bit to get onto the court, Kevin Sawka's team has been mostly in practice mode since the Rainmaker Alumni tournament of December.
Next week both teams will be on the road, Mel and Ryan Bishop's senior team will head down the road to Terrace for games on January 18th and 19th.
For the Junior Squad it's a bit more of a journey as the team makes their way to the North Shore of the Lower Mainland and the North Shore Invitational from January 16 to 20.
