Prince Rupert Rotary offers chance for CHSS student to attend RYLA program on Sunshine Coast

Building leadership skills has long been one of the main elements of the work of the Prince Rupert Rotary Club and towards developing youth leadership skills, Rotarian's on the North Coast are offering a chance for one student from Charles Hays Secondary to attend  a RYLA camp in the Spring.

The Rotary Youth Leadership Award program will take place at Camp Elphinstone, near Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast from March 30th to April 2nd.

It helps to develop leadership skills for young people and provides an opportunity for them to meet with other secondary students from across the province to exchange ideas.

Students at CHSS that may have an interest in the program are to contact Mr. O'Toole, an application form must be filled out and returned to him by no later than February 5th.

The Charles Hays notes on the program can be viewed here.

Some background on the work of Rotary around the region can be found from their website and Facebook page.
