With finalists determined, Chamber prepares for final voting process for 2019 Business Excellence Awards

The annual celebration of the North Coast's commercial sector is heading towards the March 2nd Awards show at the Lester Centre of the Arts, an evening set aside that pays tribute to those business and community organizations that continue to make for the pulse of the community.

But, before you get your finest evening wear back from the dry cleaners, there's still a bit of work ahead.

The Business Excellence Awards make for an evening of celebration for the business community, which continues to redefine itself in the region. That as the economic shift continues from the previous economies of the North Coast to the new, more port based focus that makes for much of narrative for Prince Rupert.

The get together each year also serves to showcase some of the entrepreneurial spirit that continues to thrive and evolve in the region; as well as to pay tribute to some of the longest serving businesses or individuals who have created the blue print of success and created their own space in the region's commercial sector.

The nomination process came to an end on January 6th, with the Chamber receiving a wide cross section of the many worthy candidates for consideration for a BEA for 2019.

Last week, the Chamber released the list of Finalists for  the Big Event of March, featuring twelve categories and 55 nominees for the 2019 edition of the BEA's.

The list of the successful nominees can be explored through the links below:

The voting process is a bit different for 2019, with the Chamber set to produce presentation vignettes for each of those that have been nominated, with the voting to take place for a twenty four hour period following each presentation.

The videos of each of the nominees in twelve categories will be presented on February 7th, 14th and 21st, with the voting to follow after each review.
