Time Shifting time again, as British Columbia 'Springs forward' tonight

While Premier Horgan continues to hold out hope that one day, the need to reverse or advance our clocks will be a thing of the past, the annual duty of Spring arrives tonight with the advance of the clocks by one hour to come before your retire for the night.

The loss of the hour's sleep won't be fully noticeable until Monday when everyone heads back to their work, with productivity sometimes suffering in the early part of the day as everyones internal time clock tries to coordinate to the ones on the wall or on your computer screens.

It can also make for changes to driving patterns, particularly on sunny days when motorists may have to contend with a bright object in the sky that wasn't noticeable on drives home the week previous.

As for the Premier, he like us, will be shifting the timepieces ahead tonight, observing yesterday that it's important for BC to remain on the same time as our neighbours to the south, who so far show no interest in adopting the one time year round model.

Mr. Horgan does have legislation from 2019 at the ready to put in place, but until the American states sign on to the concept, we will continue with our fall and spring rituals.

And now to help you along as you wander the homestead later tonight adjusting those timepieces that don't adjust themselves automatically; a band from the UK that just might have a future, with the soundtrack to time changing for the weekend.
