Countdown is down to hours now for Kaien Island Craft Fair 2022

All that's left to do now is to open the doors and that happens at 6PM tonight when the 2022 edition of the Kaien Island Craft Fair sees its first visitors to the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre Gymnasium and Auditorium.

The use of both venues at the Civic Centre was required owing to the demand for space by the variety of crafters, food makers and others set to share their work with us today and tomorrow.

In total the 2022 Craft Fair will see 89 vendors with 128 tables of products from old and new faces for Friday night and Saturday sessions.

Sponsored by the Prince Rupert and Area Arts Council, the admission to this weekend's event is 2 dollars per person.

Children up to the age of 18 can get in for free, as can current members of the Arts Council

The popularity of the annual event has also made for a partnership this year for the Prince Rupert Community Arts Council and Tourism Prince Rupert which will feature a 200 dollar giveaway for this years  two days for the Craft Fair.

You can keep up with some of the latest notes from the Civic Centre through the Kaien Island Craft Fair Facebook page.
