Canadian Coast Guard Prince Rupert celebrates reunion with Baby Willow

It was an early November reunion for the Clifton-Sankey family
and the New of the Coast Guard Vessel Florencia Bay

It's been close to three months since the Crew members of the Canadian Coast Guard Ship last saw young Willow Clifton-Sankey, the young lady who was born aboard the vessel which had responded to call for service for the vessel Florencia Bay to the community of Lax Kw'alaams.

We outlined some background to that remarkable day back in September which saw the vessel dispatched up Tuck inlet in assistance to the BC Ambulance service.

This weekend in an update from the Coast Guard there's an indication what kind of impression the young lady left on the Coast Guard.

Through their social media feeds the Coast notes of the recent reunion with the crew which assisted with Willow's at-sea delivery.

As part of their commemoration of the unique event for the crew, the Coast Guard issued it's own honoraryCertificate of Birth for the young lady and have engraved her name on the ships bell.

You can review the Coast Guard's special tribute to a young lady who may just qualify for honorary crew status for the Florencia Bay from their social media post here

The Coast Guard notes have also generated some commentary of best wishes for young Willow and thanks to the crew for their assist.
