The Salvation Army in Prince Rupert is in the early days of their
Annual Christmas Appeal

Over the last few days, the annual Holiday period  correspondence from the local Salvation Army in Prince Rupert has arrived in local mailboxes.

The letter from the local  Salvation Army outlining the nature of their many areas of work, as well as a reminder  of the need for those less fortunate that are in our community this Christmas season.

The Salvation Army had a good head start on their efforts this year thanks to Prince Rupert's Harley Riders and their annual run in the fall.

The also benefit from a partnership between the Prince Rupert Port Authority and the Prince Rupert Rampage Hockey team who help with raising funds through the CIHL hockey season.

This week a familiar part of their fundraising program was already underway, with the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign in place at WalMart and Safeway so far , staffed by volunteers from the community.

The Schedule noted below, as well as the call for volunteers as they ramp up their work into December, if you can help out call the Salvation Army at 250-624-6180

They recently hosted the registration period for the annual Christmas Hamper program, which delivered a strong response from the community of those that wish to participate. That registration period came to a close on Monday, November 21st.

With the organization now taking to their work of organizing the hampers for those families that are in need.

You can keep up with their programs and learn more about how you can help  out from their Social media feed.
