The Salvation Army in Prince Rupert is in the early days of their Annual Christmas Appeal |
Over the last few days, the annual Holiday period correspondence from the local Salvation Army in Prince Rupert has arrived in local mailboxes.
The letter from the local Salvation Army outlining the nature of their many areas of work, as well as a reminder of the need for those less fortunate that are in our community this Christmas season.

The also benefit from a partnership between the Prince Rupert Port Authority and the Prince Rupert Rampage Hockey team who help with raising funds through the CIHL hockey season.
This week a familiar part of their fundraising program was already underway, with the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign in place at WalMart and Safeway so far , staffed by volunteers from the community.

They recently hosted the registration period for the annual Christmas Hamper program, which delivered a strong response from the community of those that wish to participate. That registration period came to a close on Monday, November 21st.
With the organization now taking to their work of organizing the hampers for those families that are in need.
