Organizers have three routes available for hikers to choose from a 1.6 km circuit, as well as longer versions of 2.2 km and 3.6 km.
The Hike for Hospice is just one vehicle that the Hospice Society uses to share word of their work in the community.
Recently we featured a look at their presentation to Prince Rupert City Council, which featured Anne Falvo and Susan Crowley who took the council members through some. of their initiatives.
Key to their presentation was the need for volunteers, with the last few years of COVID having seen a reduction of those willing to help out with their work.
Their time with Council also offered the pair a chance to highlight their work in Advanced Care Planning with local residents as well as the value of the Green Sleeves program which provides for information for responding emergency personnel should a situation require their attendance to the home.
The Prince Rupert Hospice Website also has a wide overview of their programs and services explore it here.
Keep up with their ongoing work as well as updates on the Hike for Hospice from their Social Media page here.
