As Northern Health security planning has evolved these last few months, the Health Authority has outlined some of the requirements for those considering employment with the Northern Health Security Team.
With applicants for positions required to have a valid Basic Security Training Licence prior to participating in Advance Security Training.
Towards that training program Northern Health notes that Candidates interested in the course will need to register and pay by contacting BlueLine Tactical, for more information on that program contact Julian Knight at julian@bluelinetactical.ca

There will be two separate training sessions, one hosted in Prince George at the UNBC Northern Sports Centre from June 27-29.
Closer to the North Coast, there is one set to be hosted in Terrace later this month.
The Terrace program is taking place June 24 - 26 Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm . That session takes place Terrace Evangelical Free Church, 4640 Park Ave

Security has been an increased focus for Northern Health Facilities in the last year, that following a number of concerning incidents.
In November of 2022, North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice spoke to the issue of incidents at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.
The MLA also observed of the increased attention that the province was putting towards health care security.
