Maritime themes make for much activity for Prince Rupert's
Crest Hotel next week. Wth both the Prince Rupert
Port Authority APM and a Chamber of Commerce
Breakfast Panel Session on the calendar

With the 2023 Cruise season now underway, a snapshot of the evolution of the local sector common gout of COVID and plans for the future will be the highlight note of a Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Panel next Friday.

The event to take place at the Crest Hotel features a quartet of local officials that will share their observations on the path ahead as Prince Rupert gains more notice in the competitive Alaska Cruise market.

The line up for the Friday morning event includes:

Moderator: Ken Veldman - Prince Rupert Port Authority, Vice President of Public Affairs and Sustainability

Kevin D'Costa the General Manager of the Prince Rupert Cruise Port

Tourism Prince Rupert Executive Director Ceilidh Marlow

Jeff Stromdahl, the Manager of Trade Development for the Prince Rupert Port Authority rounds out the trio to present on the morning.

One item sure to make the presentation agenda is the debut of the new Container marketplace on the Promenade between the Atlin Terminal and the Prince Rupert Cruise Terminal.

As we outlined yesterday, Tourism Prince Rupert debuted the new space, which now carries the title of the Lax Süülda Container Market, a testimony to the Ts'mysen Nation.

For Mr. D'Costa, the breakfast session will offer a chance to explore further the plans from Global Ports Holding PLC, that are in the works as part of the Terminal Operating agreement that was announced last fall.

The Chamber's Breakfast event on Friday starts at 8 AM and comes one day following the Prince Rupert Port Authority Annual Public Meeting for 2023, also to be held at the Crest.
