Shortly after 1 PM once the last participant from the parade has passed by Northern Savings at First and Third Avenue West, the city's main commercial thoroughfare will be transformed into the host venue for a wide number of the many Seafest Events that make for the Saturday afternoon program.
From a SoapBox derby to Land Boat racing, Face-painting, Selfies and the always popular Quck and Daring construction work, the list of events offers much to check out for the focal point of Seafest Saturday.
Along with the events ones the food, the highlight of every Seafest the expansive menu options to tempt the taste buds of festival goers, with vendors setting up along the central stretch of the Third Avenue Corridor from Seventh Street to First.

Not too far from Third, over at the Safeway Parking lot Canada Safeway and the Prince Rupert Lions Club are joining up for a few events of their own to kick off the festival.
Their celebration opens with a Pancake Breakfast from 8 to 11 AM, follow by the Show and Shine from 10-3 PM, that offering a look at some of the finest rides in the city and region.
A BBQ wraps up the Seafest events for the Safety area from 11-3 PM
Over at Cow Bay, you can check out the vast array of vessels that work the waters of the North Coast with a number of Boat Tours available at the Cow Bay Breakwater from 1- 4PM
As we noted yesterday, during the course of Seafest Saturday and Sunday, there are a number of Road Closures and No Parking regulations in effect.
