BC Hydro Maintenance and upgrade work to make for wide area power interruption tonight

The BC Hydro Outages map will have much more in the way 
of Red imagery come Midnight as a large scale planned power outage
goes into effect for many part of Prince Rupert and area

Close to 3,700 customers of BC Hydro may want to have a back up wake up plan come Tuesday morning, with the Hydro Utility planning for a large scale power interruption overnight starting at midnight and continuing through to 6 AM.

Much of the outage is set for areas East of McBride Street, with residents of the affected areas having received robocalls and a notice delivered by Canada Post in the last week or so.

Smaller numbers of customers on the west side have seen day long outages in some pockets on that side of town, with more to come as the week moves forward.
