Advance voting opportunities open today for October 20th council and School Board election

The polls are open ... An advance voting opportunity is taking place
at Prince Rupert City Hall for this years Council and SD52 election

For residents of Prince Rupert who may not be in town on October 20th, the first of a number of Advance poll opportunities takes place today in the run up to the General Vote of later this month.

Eligible Voters for the City Council and School District elections, can cast their ballot at Prince Rupert City Hall for a twelve hour period which started at 8AM today

The Advance Poll takes place at Prince Rupert City Hall's Custer Service Room
October 10th between the hours of 8AM and 8 PM

The next advance voting opportunity is set for:
October 17th between the hours of 8AM and 8 PM

Another Advance voting opportunity is scheduled for October 18th in the lobby of Prince Rupert
Regional Hospital between 1 and 5 PM

Patients of Prince Rupert Regional Hospital and residents at Acropolis Manor will also be able to vote in a Special Voting Opportunity.

The City of Prince Rupert also offers a General Voting Opportunity for those who may be confined to their homes or cannot leave their homes on October 20th General Vote.

An Additional General Voting Opportunity will be held for electors who, for medical reasons or because of infirmity, cannot leave their residence on general voting day, by having a mobile voting place operated by City of Prince Rupert voting staff attend the residence of such an elector to allow that person to vote. Requests to have a mobile voting station attend a residence on general voting day must be received by the Chief Election Officer or the Deputy Chief Election Officer or a designate, before 5:00 pm on the 18th day of October, 2018.

The General Voting opportunity takes place on October 20th at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre, the polls will be open on that day from 8AM until 8 PM.
