BC Annual Dance Competition runs this week at the Lester Centre
Dancers! Dancers! Dancers!
There are Dancers everywhere in the city this week, as Prince Rupert once again plays host to the BC Annual Dance Competition.
The always popular event in Prince Rupert runs through until the 10th of May with dancers from across the province competing for a wide range of cash prizes.
Celebrating 25 years with this edition, the roster of talent is fairly impressive with all of the participants seeking to stake a claim to over 55,000 dollars in Cash Prizes and Scholarships that will be awarded during the course of the competition this week.
Included on the Dance Competition website is a listing of the Awards and Results updated through the week as the competition progresses.
The week of dance events, workshops and camaraderie, makes for a full day for the organizers, judges and participants alike, with all of the weeks efforts leading up to Saturday nights Dance Gala.
Tickets may be hard to come by at this point however.
In past years the Gala has been a sold out affair, you can check in at the Lester Centre Box Office or at Cooks Jewellers to see if there may still be a few seats available.
There is more information on this years competition available from the BC Annual Dance Competition website.
