Northern Savings seeks applicants for Local Purchasing initiative

Northern Savings is looking for
local arts and crafts enthusiasts to
participate in a new purchasing initiative
Local artisans and crafters have only a few more days to make sure that they have their names included in consideration for the Northern Savings Local Purchasing Initiative.

The program which puts a priority on purchasing locally made goods for use in corporate giveaways, donations to local organizations and as gifts for Northern Savings members and staff.

Those that will be eligible to participate in the program must have a principal residence within the boundaries of either the Skeena-Queen Charlotte or Kitimat-Stikine Regional districts.

Some of the criteria that Northern Savings will be using to select the successful submissions include:

Items of value between 5 and 50 dollars
Non-Perishable and easily transportable
Able to be produced in multiple quantities
Produced or created locally

They also note that preference will be given to those participants who are members of Northern Savings Credit Union.

The deadline for applications is September 30th, with the full overview of the rules for the initiative available here.

Those that are interested can download the entry form here, or drop into their nearest branch of Northern Savings to pick one up or ask further questions.

Northern Savings will evaluate the items base following the close of applications on September 30th, with the plan to choose at least four artisans from each of their branch locations of Masset, Prince Rupert, Queen Charlotte City and Terrace.
