With infrastrucure plans percolating, City of Prince Rupert seeks Engineering technologist

With the City facing the need to address a number of key infrastructure issues in the years to come, City Hall has put out the Now Hiring notice once again, posting the details of a job opportunity in their Operations Department.

This week the City launched its search for an Engineering Technologist, seeking someone who will be able to handle a wide range of duties from the inspection of ongoing infrastructure construction, to assisting with contract administration and providing direction to developers, contractors and suppliers.

Candidates for the position which reports to City Management should have the following qualifications as they consider putting in an application:

A Post Secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized two year program, minimum of two years of 'hands on' experience in the field of civil engineering and a level 1 or higher CAD certification or demonstrated ability with the system.

The deadline for applicants for the position is October 5th.
