Recreation Department wants your Snapshots for City's Active Living guide

The City of Prince Rupert's Recreation Department is already putting together its next Community Living Guide and have a pretty good project for photography devotees of the North Coast and one that could score one lucky contributor with a 10 pass booklet for the city's pool or gym facilities.

The Active Living Guide Photo Contest is seeking photo submissions for the Cover page that show Prince Rupert residents of any age engaging in recreation programs, physical activity or playing one of the many sports on the North Coast calendar.

The photo guidelines are not limited to organized programs or at the Civic Centre, with submissions welcome from the city's sports fields, parks or hiking trails.

Photos should be of high resolution and those sending in their work should be aware that all photos received but not chosen for the cover may be used on the various pages found as part of the upcoming  guide, or for future ones.

The photo that is selected for the cover will deliver the photographer an opportunity to spend some time at the city's recreational facilities, through the ten pass booklet that makes for the competition prize.

The deadline for submissions is October 1st, Digital copies of pictures to be considered should be directed to Shantelle Berry, the Recreation Coordinator at the Civic Centre, you can forward them to her at shantelle.berry@princerupert.ca
