The last few weeks have made for some troublesome times in the city it would seem, with the Prince Rupert's The Argosy, the latest commercial location to fall victim to crime.

In a Social Media post to their Facebook page on Monday, the owners made note of a break in at the Third Avenue store sometime on Sunday night, with a number of items taken from the premises.

Included in the post are some photos of the goods which were stolen and which the ownership is asking for local residents to be watchful for.

Should anyone be aware of the items being offered for sale, they are asking that you contact the store at 250-624-2746.

So far there has been no case file item generated by the Prince Rupert RCMP website related to the Sunday evening incident, the Prince Rupert detachment has seen a bit of a spike in criminal activity of late.

As we outlined over the weekend, local Mounties recently outlined the third of a string of armed robberies in the city, which saw masked individuals take undisclosed amounts of money from a convenience store on 2nd and a Beer and Wine Store in Cow Bay.

The local detachment has yet to provide any updates on any of the recent calls for service.

More notes on Sunday's incident can be viewed from the Argosy Facebook page.
