SD52 set to move forward with virtual budget consultation for end of April
School District 52 trustees are ready to return to their Budget consultation program, with the shift to a virtual meeting, a session which will mark the last opportunity for comment on the Budget plans, set for Monday, April 27th.
Announcing the resumption of the process through their twitter feed and Instagram, the School District noted that they will be using the Zoom video platform, which will offer a chance for interested observers to participate and provide input towards the Board's budget planning.
If you’d like to attend, you have to RSVP to tamara.dickens@sd52.bc.ca
Ms. Dickens will provide you with the login information for the Zoom meeting and explain how the virtual meeting process will work.
The April 27th meeting makes for the rescheduled date for the March 30th engagement, as a result of the COVID situation in the province, the School District is somewhat behind schedule on its original plan to have the Budget approved.
The original plan was to have the Budget process completed and the budget approved by April 14th, that timeline has now shifted a bit as the trustees adjust the process during these unusual times.
You can refresh your memory on some of the previous budget work prior to the COVID-19 interruption from the SD52 website, included in the documentation is a review of the February 6th presentation which provided some extensive background to the Budget plan.
