City's Recreation Department looks to help make your Family Day bubble fun

With BC's Family Day weekend set for February 13-15, the City of Prince Rupert recreation department has come up with a project to help make your weekend in a bubble a bit more fun.

As social distancing and keeping our circles small is now part of our COVID measures mantra these days, the Family project will help to bring some creativity to this years Family Day plans.

As the Rec Centre staff explain it, all you have to do is register your family to receive a Bubble Game Kit, with a fun game to enjoy with your "bubble" at home during the weekend.

Then snap a photo of your game play and send it to us through our Facebook page.

The best part of the plan is that the game is for your family to keep!

Kits will be distributed from 4 - 6pm on Friday, February 12th and will be limited to one (1) per household.

To register to get your kit call the Recreation Department at 250-624-6707

The program is available through the support of the Province of British Columbia and Prince Rupert's own Good Time Games.

You can learn more about the Bubble Game Brigade as well as any updates towards Family Day from  the Prince Rupert Recreation Department Facebook page.
