Some frigid northern air is going to make it's way to the coastal areas of the North Coast over the next week with some night time lows dipping down towards the mid minus teens by midweek.
The Special Weather Statement from Environment Canada was issued at just before 2PM, while the first real cold snap of the winter will bring the thermometer down.
Skies above will be Sunny through to next weekend, with highs of 0 to -4 through the week
Much the same is expected further inland, with daytime temperatures significantly colder for Terrace, Smithers and other Northwest communities.
Even Haida Gwaii will be touched by the cold snap, though not quite as dramatically as points east.
