Prince Rupert And District Chamber of commerce to host Candidates Forum September 26

Prince Rupert voters now have a second candidates forum to check out before the make a decision to cast a ballot on October 15th, that as the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce announced its own All Candidates Forum.

The Chamber selecting September 26th at 7:00 PM for their contribution to the discussion of election themes at the Lester Centre of the Arts. Doors will open at 6:30.

The details are rather scant at the moment related to the forum, the Chamber notes through their Social Media stream setting the date and not much more.

Not known through their message making is if the forum is for both Mayoralty and Council candidates, who will be moderating and who will be on a panel with questions, if that is the format that they have decided on.

The North Coast Review has submitted an email to the Chamber seeking some details, so should we hear back we'll update the notes related to the event.

Update: The Chamber has forwarded details for the event which will include both Mayoralty and Council candidates as part of the evening.

Carolina de Ryk from CBC Daybreak will be the Moderator, panelists for the night will include Nikki Morse and KJ Millar

The event will be streamed live through Facebook and YouTube and they are inviting the public to send them a Direct message with questions for the forum.

The Chamber debate will take place one week before one scheduled by the Prince Rupert Labour Council, that opportunity to learn more about the candidates is planned for October 4th in the Multi-purpose room of Charles Hays Secondary
