Prince Rupert and District Hospice seeks volunteers, offers training program starting this week

An opportunity to lend a hand to the Prince Rupert and District Hospice Society is available this week, as the organization  seeks volunteers with a few hours per week to share with their work in the community.

Towards the call for volunteers, they are featuring a Training program, which features a Zoom based course hosted by the Terrace Hospice Society, providing a glimpse into the nature of the work and support you could offer.

The first of the two hour Zoom course sessions begins tomorrow evening from 6 until 8

For more information on the volunteer training course contact the Prince Rupert Hospice Society at 250-622-6204 or by email at princeruperthospice@gmail.com

As to the variety of volunteer work available, the list offers a range of areas where you could offer your talents or compassion,  from running errands to providing for relief support for family members.

The group recently delivered a presentation at Prince Rupert City Council to share some of their work with the community, as well as their advocacy towards more supports from the provincial government.
