Prince Rupert's Skaters hit the ice as September work sets stage for busy season ahead

The Prince Rupert Skating Club was on the ice almost as soon as the frozen surface went it at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre, with September heralding the start of a new skating season across the Northwest.

For the Prince Rupert area youngsters from previous years it brought the chance to get back  into theirgroove and make ready for a busy year ahead, while newcomers to the sport had a chance to test things out and get a glimpse of what's ahead for them.

The Club is still accepting new members with four levels for youngsters to find their level, Pre-Canskate, Canskate, Pre-Star and Star

Some of the Prince Rupert skaters had a head start on the year, with a Prince George trip in mid September and a number of workshops to hone their skills for the 2022-23 season.

As well, with the skating comes the fundraising and that is in motion now as well, you can learn more about what's happening with the Club from their Social Media Page here

If you dig deep enough into their timeline, you can even take in some video from last season.

Should you have any questions  for the club, contact them through email at prskatingclub@hotmail.ca
