It appears that the majority of those in tax arrears have settled their accounts with the City of Prince Rupert's Financial Office, with the list of properties up for today's Tax Sale now listed at just one.
The updated list currently posted on the City's Website notes of a property on Second Avenue West as the only entry remaining from the list first published earlier this month
As we outlined on September 9th, the original list had been numbered at eleven, the entries whittled down as the month moved forward and property owners made their way to City Hall to settle up.
Providing the final entry is not addressed by 10AM, the Tax Sale takes place at that time in City Council Chambers.
Though it should be noted that any sale today may not be final, as the purchase is subject to redemption by the original owner by September 27th of 2023.
