Northern Savings Credit Union makes ready for Sunday's Terry Fox Run

The Northern Savings Head office and Prince Rupert Branch is the starting point
for the 2022 Terry Fox Run this Sunday.

The Foxtrot makes a comeback this Sunday, as Price Rupert and area residents take to the streets in support of the Terry Fox Run, the national fundraising campaign that pays tribute to the Canadian icon who captured the heart of the nation.

Northern Savings once again is the host for the Prince Rupert event, making note of the plans through their Social media page.

An opportunity to pre-register for the Sunday run is available here, participants can also stop by the local branch of the Credit union from noon to 1 PM on the day of the run. Those that may not want to run or walk in the event, can still make a donation through the link above.

All of those taking part in this years Terry Fox Run are in the running to win a door prize,  including a chance to pick up a set of Apple AirPods

Participants take to the walking or running route around the city starting at 1 PM on Sunday

A change to the route for the 2022 celebration of the Terry Fox Run

There's been a change from the familiar route of past years owing to some of the city's ongoing road work into the late summer.

This years travels take participants along the following routes:

The 3km route will start at Northern Savings Credit Union, turn left on McBride Street, turn right on 1st Street, turn right on Cow Bay Road, follow George Hills Way just past Canfisco, cross at the crosswalk and follow the scenic waterfront back!

For those who want a longer route - you can add in the Rushbrook trail and enjoy a 7km run.
