Update: Following a dedication ceremony earlier in the afternoon, the vessel transited to the Cow Bay dock prior to the 2:30 PM start for the Open House
The skies are clear, the weather crisp for an afternoon of exploring one of the newest additions to the Canadian Coast Guard Fleet, with the Coast Guard Ship McIntyre Bay tied up at the Cow Bay Dock on Wednesday afternoon.
The vessel is open for tours today from 2:30 to 4:00 PM
The Search and Rescue lifeboat has a complement of 2 offices and 2 crew members and went into service on the waters of the West Coast in 2018.
It's named after McIntyre Bay on Northern Graham island on Haida Gwaii.
You can check out its specifications here.
