If you have a load of trash for the City of Prince Rupert land fill site, strike Wednesday afternoon off of your delivery schedule, with the City set to close the operations for that day at the noon hour.
An announcement from the City was issued today notifying the public that both the Landfill location and the Public Works Department will part of an Operational Closure from Noon to 5PM on December 14th.
The Closure required owing to a staff appreciation and training event.
The City's Communication office advises that despite the Closure plans, there will be NO CHANGE to the Schedule for the regular pick up of garbage and recycling on Wednesday afternoon.

Well, there is nothing like planning ahead. A weeks' notice would have been a lot more appropriate.
